“We have exceeded our customers’ expectations”

Launching the new Volvo FH is a perfect opportunity for us to demonstrate our commitment to our customers most important priorities, such as quality, uptime and fuel consumption.

The customers are very happy with today’s FH and this means that their expectations on the new truck are extremely high – and we intend to live up to these expectations by an uncompromising attitude to quality.

We actually started the development of the new FH by asking our customers what they expected us to improve. We have talked to 3,000 drivers at truck stops – and followed up this research by multiple customer clinics.  The feedback has resulted in major news within four focus areas: improved fuel efficiency, even better handling, more space for the driver and high uptime.

We are confident that the new Volvo FH will exceed our customers’ expectations in all these areas and be extremely competitive on the market.

It is outstanding when it comes to fuel consumption. The saving potential up to 10 percent, thanks to new features such as the I-Torque driveline and I-See, which is an addition to the I-Shift gearbox. The handling is best in class. Solutions such as the dual-clutch and the individual front suspension are established features in modern premium cars, but they are firsts in the truck world. The result is fantastic. The FH drives almost like a sports car. We have done an excellent job in creating more space. The cabin space has grown with one cubic metre.

Finally, we are in the top when it comes to uptime. Remote service solutions enable the truck to “speak” to the workshop. This makes it possible to initiate proactive service work and avoid any breakdowns.
All these improvements are brilliant examples of our dedication to our customers.

With the new Volvo FH we give them much more than a world-class truck. It is a complete business solution with a superior ability to take customers’ operations and businesses into a profitable future.
